Another expert has joined the group of Internet CEE 2010 speakers. A Strategic Analytics & Insight Systems Director from GroupM EMEA, Simon Thomas, will participate in the event to give a speech on new and emerging digital landscapes worldwide, contrasting regional, sub-regional and specific country differences and presenting the subject from a media agency perspective. He will also take part in a discussion panel devoted to the subject of recession as a catalyst for changes.

Simon’s speech will not just concern internet, web or digital media, but the whole advertising & media communication landscape, with a main focus on the process of traditional media becoming digital. Furthermore, he will give an overview of the ways the publishers monetization and business models are changing and will say a few words about new market players and new technologies. Simon will also present current approaches towards consumer centric, audience segmentation based and accountable ROI based planning and trading.

Simon has spent over 30 years in the media industry, not just in the UK but in wider European contexts. This included a lot of time in Poland, Hungary and Czech Republic in the mid-1990s. His experience ranges across both the traditional and the emerging digital communication channels, with a focus on client ROI & commercial trading, especially for the measurement of audiences and aspects & impacts of consumer behaviours.
